i don't practice spells often, but i thought i'd post a few of my favorites, or the ones that work best.
if you're looking for a quick fix spell, a love spell, or a get-me-money spell, you won't find it here. the only spell i post that have to do with love is the one directly below.

To Rid Yourself of An Unwanted Lover Some people are wooed by persistent would-be lovers, those who won't take no for an answer and who won't leave them alone. This is the ideal spell for such a situation. It should be done during the waning cycle of the Moon - that is, after the Full Moon and before the New Moon.
Have a roaring fire going, then go outside and pick up two handfuls of dry vervain leaves (you can place them on the ground ahead of time, if necessary.) As you pick them up, shout out the name of the one you wish to be rid of. Turn and go into the house (or cross to the fire if this is all done out in the open) and fling leaves onto the fire with the words:
"Here is my pain; Take it and soar. Depart from me now and offend me no more."
Do this for three nights in a row. You will hear no more from the unwanted ones. A Simple Wind Spell To rid oneself of anger or negativity:
On a windy day, sit facing the wind on a mountain or hilltop, or any place where you are somewhat high and isolated. Be still and think of what emotions within you are undesirable and you wish to be rid of. Close your eyes and feel them intensely within.
Gradually, gain hold of these forces and gather them into one dark ball in you middle. Control the size of it, let nothing escape. Feel none of the negativity outside of the ball you have formed. Slowly stand up, keeping the ball secure and contained. Stand strong, feet slightly spread apart.
Remove the ball from your middle and raise it above your head. Act this out with your hands or only your mind as you so desire. Spread your arms out so you roughly form a pentagram. Visualize the Wind pulling the ball apart bit by bit. The wisps of negativity are pulled thin and carried away on the Wind, far from you.
When the ball has been completely destroyed, feel the Wind rushing around you and the elemental through you. Breathe in its white-gold energy and feel it fill and cleanse your body. When you feel completely purified, stand relaxed.
Thank the Air elemental for helping you, perhaps blowing a small offering into the Wind. A Sample Candle Spell Chose an appropriately coloured candle for the purpose of the spell. If possible, perform during the coresponding moon. Place on the altar (in addition to your usual tools): the candle, a stable holder, matches (several, just in case), a fire-proof dish for the used matches, and oils, or flowers appropriate to the spell's purpose.
Purify your space, cast a circle in the style of your chosing, call the Elementals, and invoke the Goddess and God. Hold the candle in your hands and clearly speak (whisper if necessary) for what purpose you are performing the spell. Rhyme is nice and sets the ritual mood, but it is not necessary. An example of a chant for spiritual inspiration:
"Bring me knowledge of the spirit world,
Enhance my wisdom, inner sight unfurled"
Short rhymes are good for repetitive chanting, long monologues are good for building emotion. Build up energy and pour it into the candle.
As you speak, rub the candle from end to wick for gaining and the opposite direction for banishment. If you wish rub oil on the candle and roll it in herbs (all keeping within the proper symbolism). Set the candle firmly in its stand and light the wick. Say something like:
"As I light this candle's fire,
Bring to me my heart's desire."
Meditate on your purpose while gazing at the flame for a few minutes. When the spellwork feels complete, say something similar to:
"Begin the fight And victory's won.
So I say, This spell is done."
Thank the Elementals and Dieties, close the circle and ground yourself. Leave the candle to burn out in a safe animal/child free environment.
Some say that if you talk about a spell, it won't work. I'd disagree, but talking to acquatinces about recent spell casting is just not a good idea for many other reasons. Think about it. |
